 Mini Sport Dog 

   1 x 45 minute sport / agility class weekly for 3 weeks

    Starts: Monday November 5th

    Time:  6pm

    Cost:  $60 + tax

C.L.A.S.S (Canine Life and Social Skills)

  1 x 45 minute class weekly for 5 weeks, with optional  

    evaluation on week 6

    Starts: Thursday, November 8th

    Time: 7:00pm

    Cost: $100 + $30(optional evaluation) + tax

Starting Saturday, November 10th 2012:

   9:15 am - Puppy Kindergarten - 1 x 45 minute class       

                                                                         weekly for 6 weeks

   10:15am - Level 2 Puppy-  1 x 45 minute class

Enjoying the end of Summer at Shannoncourt !

Here are some pics from the last week or so at Shannoncourt. We have had a very busy, but fantastic summer. The humans are back in school, now its time for the dogs ! Due to overwhelming demand we have added another “Fast Track” Puppy Kindergarten course, starting Monday, September 10th, in addition to our 6 week Puppy Kindergarten Class starting September 29th. Please see "Training Class Schedules” link, to your right, for more information. There will be a 6 week Sport Dog Class starting Monday, September 24th, for those dogs who have already graduated from Level 2 Puppy class.

A reminder also,Daycare will be available Thursday & Friday only in Martintown,for the Fall/Winter,starting Labour Day.

Welcome to all the new puppies and their “parents” who started Puppy Kindergarten last weekend, and welcome back to all of the “experienced” puppies who are continuing their training in the Level 2 Class !

Charity of The Month !

Blue Moon Rescue

Each month Shannoncourt staff choose a charity to donate to, this month we hope that you will help us, as we try to raise some funds for Blue Moon Rescue. Serving the Cornwall-Brockville-  Ottawa area, Blue Moon Rescue is Rachel’s choice for our Charity of the Month. Veterinary care is always a large expense for Rescues, and Blue Moon Rescue is no exception,with several dogs undergoing surgery and medical treatments. Rescue organizations take on these expenses and all the extra care this requires, to ensure that the dogs are in great shape to go on to permanent homes.  Hopefully we can give them a little extra help.

If your family is looking for a new best friend, please take a look at the adoptable dogs available from Blue Moon Rescue

Not ready to adopt? How about Fostering? Providing a temporary safe home for a dog, until a permanent one can be found.

Keeping cool at Shannoncourt !

With the weather in the mid -30’s most of last week, our main concern is the safety of the dogs. We play a lot indoors, in the gym.We exercise outdoors, early and in the shade as much as possible.We let the dogs, that want to, get wet! (with your permission, of course! ) Me make sure that the dogs rest and cool down in their rooms, before their next play. Supervising every play session ensures that we remain in control of the amount of exercise the dogs are getting.We do not want them over exerting themselves  in this dangerously hot weather.
That being said - we still want to have fun, and so do the dogs !!
