Guinness, Quincy, Porter & Sam , four male Chocolate Labs (with different owners !) who just happened to be at Shannoncourt all at the same time ! All of  these great  dogs have stayed with us many times before, just not all at the same time :)

      At Central Bark in Long Sault, chase games end in the treehouse, where  dogs catch their breath before continuing play with some wrestling , or a game of  keep-a-way with  a toy !

Sport Dog 1 :           Starts Wednesday November 2nd 
                                             5:15 pm - 6:00pm


Sport Dog  1 & 2  :  Starts Thursday November 3rd
                                             7:15pm - 8:00pm


 "Sport Dog” is a 6 week course starting on the above dates. A non- competitive agility class, fun and excitement  for you and your dog!


Search Class 1 :       Starts Thursday November 3rd
                                             6:15pm - 7:00 pm


Search Class 2 :       Starts  Wednesday November 2nd
                                             6:15pm - 7:00 pm


Search Class  ( Nose Work) is a 4 week course starting on the above dates. Teach your dog  Tracking & “Search and find" by scent . Activate those natural instincts!
                                              

All dogs must have up to date annual vaccinations including Bordatella (Kennel Cough) vaccine.

Chloe ( yellow lab) and Zoey (boxer) became good friends over the last couple of days ,while they were both staying in the Pet Hotel at Shannoncourt Central Bark.Seen here during one of their playtimes,they are participating in the Daycare program (which is included in their Hotel stay at Shannoncourt) Dogs from the Pet Hotel and Daycare are matched up together in playgroups according to play styles, size and temperament.

November Training Class Schedule

 Puppy Kindergarten  :   Starts  Saturday November 12th

                                         8:15am - 9:00am or 9:15am -10:00am

This is a 6 week course of basic puppy training and socialization, for dogs under 6 months of age.

All puppies must have at least  the first 2 sets of their course of  routine puppy vaccinations and Bordatella vaccine (Kennel cough vaccine)

 Level 2 Puppy  :    Starts  Saturday November 12th

                                 10:15am - 11:00am

This is a 6 week course for puppies that have completed Puppy Kindergarten ( or that have participated in private training lessons and are ready to join this class). All dogs require complete up to date vaccinations plus Bordatella Vaccine

Charlie works it out !

His brain that is !... This is Charlie, on a recent visit to daycare at Shannoncourt, figuring out an interactive dog puzzle which requires him to locate treats using his sense of smell,then remove the covers on the puzzle to access the treats. Charlie is a 13 year old Shepherd mix who happens to be completely blind!This type of activity is great for the senior dog as it helps maintain their cognitive function. Try this at home by hiding treats or favourite toys and encouraging your dog to search them out.Add new activities to your senior dogs daily routine to help keep those brains in top shape - just like Charlie’s !

Puppy Kindergarten Classes in the Gym

 "Shannoncourt VIP” is located on the outskirts of the peaceful Eastern Ontario village of Martintown. Situated in the  former Martintown Public School building, our newly opened second location offers Pet dog Training, Grooming and Dog Daycare.

Training is available on a one on one basis during a 45 minute “Private Lesson”with you and your dog or in one of our group classes. Group Classes currently available include, Puppy kindergarten (levels 1 & 2 ),Sport Dog(fun agility) & Nosework (scenting/ tracking).These classes are once weekly for a 4- 6 week course.

We are excited to have our very own gymnasium (yes ! a whole school size gym, all to ourselves!) This serves as our training area for group classes and our indoor play area for Daycare,when the weather is bad.

Daycare is available Wednesday ,Thursday & Friday 6:30 am - 6:00 pm.

We also sell Dog food,treats,toys and accessories

Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 noon.
Bring your dog for a fun day of play and socialization. Playtimes are always supervised by Shannoncourt staff. During break times your dog can relax in our clean and spacious dog suites.
