His brain that is !... This is Charlie, on a recent visit to daycare at Shannoncourt, figuring out an interactive dog puzzle which requires him to locate treats using his sense of smell,then remove the covers on the puzzle to access the treats. Charlie is a 13 year old Shepherd mix who happens to be completely blind!This type of activity is great for the senior dog as it helps maintain their cognitive function. Try this at home by hiding treats or favourite toys and encouraging your dog to search them out.Add new activities to your senior dogs daily routine to help keep those brains in top shape - just like Charlie’s !
